Haribon Foundation Visits Extension Office
by: Extension Services and Linkages | October 22, 2018
BOW team of the Haribon Foundation visited the Office of the Extension Services and Linkages on September 24, 2018 to finalize the project on Biodiversity on Wheels. The Haribon has been the partner of Surigao del Sur State University in the implementation of the extension services for so long. The team explained that the BOW is a moving classroom that uses age-appropriate and interactive ways of teaching the people. It has a built-in multimedia and library rolled into one van that visits schools and communities to teach environmental topics such as Philippine biodiversity and solid waste management. Through BOW biodiversity, conservation is now more accessible to children, but more young people have yet to be reached to ensure a brighter future for ourselves and our environment.
