SYSTEM-WIDE LIBRARIANS’ AND STAFF MEETING

Despite the pandemic, A F2F system-wide librarians’ and staff meeting of the seven campuses was held with the approval of the University President on March 22-23, 2021, at the main campus 3rd floor academic building with no less than the Director of Libraries, Mrs. Aida C. Osorio as the presiding officer.

The meeting started with a prayer led by Mr. Ronnie J. Sajelan followed by checking of attendance and without further ado, the meeting proper. Agenda were listed: Revision of Unit Manual; Collection Development Policy Statement; Library Staff Development Plan and ISO documents requirements on the Processes: QOP, SOP, QOM, RR…. Thorough discussions of the agenda were made and points of clarifications from the librarians were taken. More emphases were made on the revision of the Unit Manual and the ISO documents, where Sir James Q. Grefalde is invited virtually as the Resource Speaker. Many changes were incorporated and properly documented by the secretary. The Library Development Plan was also revisited.

It was a day full of energy because snacks and lunch were served while the librarians are still working. So much has been done, the meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.

Resource Speaker, Mr. James Q. Grefalde highlighted his topic on the policies on ISO preparation of documents.
