Just had a fascinating exploratory talk/visit today with the University of the Philippines-Manila School of Medicine about potential collaborations with NEMSU.
Chancellor CARMENCITA D. PADILLA, MD, MAHPS, and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs NYMIA PIMENTEL SIMBULAN, MPH, DR PH, greeted the team with warm accommodation, making sure that NEMSU could have the critical information it needed to pursue its School of Medicine for a community that is aimed with excellent public health service.
With the full support of Atty. Ronnie Azura, Sen. Chiz Escudero's Oversight Focal Person for SUCs, coupled with the assistance of Congressman Romeo S. Momo Sr., representative of SDS 1st Congressional District, we felt that UP values opportunities of contributing milestones for the SUCs in the country.
Our VPAA, Prof. Maria Lady Sol A. Suazo, and EA Mick Mars P. Silvano are joining me in this effort. We were also with the CSU President, Dr Rolyn Daguil, with the same goals.
It's incredible to see how much we can accomplish when we work together towards a common goal! Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this partnership. Thanks, too, for the support of Comm. Jo Mark M. Libre.
Onwards NEMSU!
